2026 Jewels Go Rural - Albion

Get ready to launch into a day of engineering and high-flying fun! Jewels Academy is bringing our Rural Program to the Albion Library on June 25th, and we’re taking aim at the laws of physics.

Students will step into the shoes of mechanical engineers to design, build, and test their very own catapults. We’ll explore the "how" behind the "wow"—learning how potential energy turns into kinetic energy to send projectiles soaring. It’s hands-on STEM that’s heavy on the fun and even heavier on the flying objects!
